I just tried reverting to driver version 362.00 and now it works perfectly again. I was running the Geforce driver 375.70, and been updating as drivers came out for a few months. This resulted in <1 fps during rotation for some large assemblies. My desktop has an i7-5820k, GTX 780, and 32GB Ram, but when I would go to rotate all but the simplest assembly it would peg a single CPU core and not use my GPU at all. It only started occurring in the last couple months and has turned my previously very powerful machine into one that is far worse than my much lower specced laptop. I have been having a huge problems recently with rotation and zooming tanking my framerate in Solidworks 2016 SP4 on my home desktop.
